In cardiovascular surgery, rehabilitative surgery methods for valvular and vascular transplants as well as for heart muscle damage are state-of-the-art. Decellularised tissue which is recolonised by incorporation of the receiver‘s own cells, having growth potential without being immunogenic, has already been used successfully in cardiovascular low-pressure systems. Goal of this project is the development of magnesium structures to support cardiovascular tissue replacement in the high-pressure system of the left chamber of the heart and the aorta.
