Automotive Mechatronics
In the last decades, the requirements of vehicles concerning safety, comfort and efficiency have been increased to a considerable content. Electronic control systems (e.g. ABS, TCS, ABC, ESP, ...) gain more and more importance, assuming an exact knowledge of the vehicle at any time, as for example the complicated interactions between vehicle and road surface. For this reason, several projects realized at the MZH concentrate on this field of technology, a synthesis of the disciplines electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science. There exist for example intensive personal alliances with the Automotive Research Centre Niedersachsen (NFF).
