Rainer BISCHOFF received his “Diplom-Ingenieur” degree in electrical engineering from Hannover University, in 1995.
Since 2002 he has been working for the KUKA Robot Group, first as coordinator and manager of the group's cooperative research projects on European and national level, since 2012 as head of KUKA's technology development.
Since 2008 he is the Executive Board Chair of the European Robotics Technology Platform EUROP and since 2012 Vice-president industry of euRobotics aisbl - the European Robotics Association
In 2010 he received his PhD degree at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology for his work on personal robot assistants.
In 2012 he was awarded with the IEEE-RAS Early Industry Career Award.
